What Happens:
Your Telegram account, along with all your chats, media, contacts, and cloud data, will be seamlessly transferred to the new phone number.
Your old phone number will no longer be associated with your Telegram account.
Your contacts who had your old number saved might receive a notification about your number change.
Secret Chats are device-specific and will be lost
Ensure Access: Make sure you have access to both your old phone number (to receive a verification code if needed) and your new phone number (to receive the main verification code).
Open Telegram: Launch the Telegram telegram number database app on your smartphone.
Go to Settings:
On Android: Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the top-left, then “Settings.”
On iPhone: Tap the “Settings” tab at the bottom right.
Tap on Your Current Phone Number:
In the Settings menu, tap on the phone number currently associated with your account (usually visible near your profile picture).
Select “Change Number”: Tap make sure your images are findable the “Change Number” option.
Read and Confirm: Read the warning message about what will happen (data transfer, Secret Chats loss). Tap “Change” or “OK” to proceed.
Enter Your New Number: Input your new phone number in full international format (e.g., +88017XXXXXXXX).
Verify New Number: Enter the code sent to your new belgium numbers phone number (via SMS or automated call).
